What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal outbound link with a tracking parameter. When you click one and complete a qualifying action (a hotel booking, an eSIM activation, a sign-up), the partner pays DealSeoul a small commission, typically 3 to 10 percent of the transaction.

The price you pay is unchanged. The commission comes out of the partner's marketing budget, not your wallet. You won't see a different price, a different inventory, or a worse cancellation policy because you clicked from DealSeoul.

Where you'll see them

Affiliate links appear on a limited set of surfaces where booking or sign-up is the natural next step for the visitor:

1. Accommodation (/stay and neighborhood pages). Hotel and stay recommendations link to Booking.com, Agoda, or similar.
2. Connectivity (/sim-wifi). eSIM and SIM-card recommendations link to Airalo and similar carrier partners.
3. Transit (/transit card detail pages). T-money, AREX, and Climate Card recommendations may link to Klook or similar booking partners.
4. Money (/tax-refund). Foreign-card and no-FX-fee card recommendations may link to Wise, Revolut, or similar fintech sign-up pages.
5. Experiences (selected tours, classes, and tickets). Where applicable, links go to Klook or GetYourGuide.

The inline notice "Contains affiliate links" appears near any cluster of affiliate links so you always know before clicking.

Section 3

What we don't do

1. We do not rank venues by commission. The hotel at the top of /stay is there because it's a good fit for that neighborhood and visitor type, not because the partner pays more.
2. We do not include a venue we wouldn't recommend just because it has an affiliate program.
3. We do not sell or share your personal information with any affiliate partner. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is collected.
4. We do not run display ads, banner ads, popups, or AdSense. Affiliate links are the only revenue stream on the public site.

Legal basis

This disclosure satisfies the Federal Trade Commission's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255), the Republic of Korea's 「표시·광고의 공정화에 관한 법률」 (Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising), and the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) requirements for material connection disclosure.
