Terms and Conditions of DealSeoul
Effective from 4 May 2026 (informational pre-launch version)
Chapter I
General Provisions
Article 1
Purpose
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions (these "Terms") is to set forth basic matters on the use of DealSeoul and any and all services related to DealSeoul provided by Deal Labs (the "Company"), including the rights, obligations, responsibilities, terms and conditions of use, and procedures between the Company and Users.
Article 2
Definitions
The terms used herein shall have the following meanings:
- "Service(s)" means the platform services
provided by DealSeoul, including but not limited to the
curation of pop-ups, places, deals, station-level
practical information, and travel-related Content for
foreign visitors to Seoul, accessible through the
website at
dealseoul.com, related applications, and public data feeds, regardless of the device used to access them. - "User(s)" means any person, organization, or automated agent that accesses or uses the Services in accordance with these Terms. The Services do not require registration or account creation, and accordingly do not distinguish between members and non-members.
- "Content" means any creative product that the Company produces and uploads on the Services, including editorial copy, curated listings, photographs, data tables, and other materials related to travel in Seoul.
- "Post(s)" means codes (including URLs), texts, voices, sounds, pictures, images, files, and any other materials that Users may post or register on the Services where such functionality is made available.
- "Automated Access" means access to the Services by means of robots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, AI agents, or other automated software, including but not limited to access by search engine crawlers and AI search agents.
Article 3
Effect and Amendment of Terms
- These Terms are effective for all Users who use the Services. Use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendment does not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (the "Network Act"), the Framework Act on Consumers, and the Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions.
- If the Company intends to amend these Terms, it shall announce such amendment at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date by posting the amended Terms on the Services, specifying the effective date and the reason for the amendment. Any amendment unfavorable to Users shall be announced at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date.
- If a User continues to use the Services after the effective date of the amended Terms, the User shall be deemed to have consented to the amended Terms.
- If necessary, the Company may set forth individual terms and conditions, policies, or operational principles for specific items within the Services. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and any such individual terms and conditions, the individual terms and conditions shall prevail with respect to that item.
Chapter II
Use of Services
Article 4
Commencement of Use
The Services are provided without account registration, subscription, or payment. Users may commence use of the Services at any time by accessing the website, application, or public data feeds, and shall be deemed to have consented to these Terms upon such commencement.
Article 5
Service Hours
- The Company shall provide the Services on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year basis, in principle, unless there are special reasons in business or technical terms.
- The Company may conduct regular or occasional inspections, deployments, or maintenance, during which access to the Services may be interrupted. The Company shall not be liable for any inconvenience caused by such interruptions, except as expressly provided in applicable laws.
Article 6
Description of Services

The Company provides the following Services:
- Curated information on pop-ups, places, deals, and neighborhoods in Seoul;
- Station-level practical information organized around the Seoul Metro network;
- Editorial guides for foreign visitors;
- Public data feeds in machine-readable formats; and
- Other services that the Company may add from time to time.
- The Company curates information from publicly available sources, partner submissions, and editorial research. While the Company aims for accuracy, the Company makes no warranty as to the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of the Content. Users are advised to verify time-sensitive details (such as opening hours, addresses, and reservation requirements) directly with the relevant venue before visiting.
- The Services are provided as a guide and do not constitute a brokerage, reservation, or transaction service. Reservations, purchases, and transactions take place on third-party services that the Company may link to. The Company is not a party to any such transactions and shall not be liable for matters arising from them.
Article 7
Modification and Suspension of Services
- The Company may modify the Services at any time and shall announce material modifications on the Services in advance.

The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the
Services in any of the following cases:
- Where it is necessary for system operation or security, including regular or occasional system inspections, expansion and replacement of servers, and network instability;
- Where normal Service provision is not possible due to power outage, failure of Service facilities, excessive use of the Services, or repair, inspection or suspension of facilities by a facilities-based telecommunications service provider;
- Where the Company determines that it is inappropriate to continue providing the Services due to operational, technical, or business reasons; or
- Other force majeure events such as natural disasters and national emergencies.
- In the event of any change or suspension of the Services under this Article, the Company shall not provide any separate compensation to Users unless specifically provided for in the applicable laws and regulations.
Chapter III
Rights and Obligations
Article 8
Indexing, AI Discovery, and Restrictions on Training Use

The Services are intended to be discoverable through
search engines and AI assistants. The Company welcomes
Automated Access to the Services for the limited purpose
of:
- Indexing the Services for retrieval and search;
- Generating user-facing answers that surface, cite, or link back to the Services in response to end-user queries (commonly referred to as "live retrieval" or "real-time grounding");
- Quoting or summarizing limited portions of the Content for the purpose of directing end users to the Services.

The access set forth in Paragraph 1 above is welcomed on
the following conditions:
- When the Content is surfaced to end users,
attribution to "DealSeoul" and a link to
https://dealseoul.comshall be provided so that end users may visit the Services for the underlying information; - The Content shall not be presented in a manner that is intended to substitute for, or that materially discourages end users from visiting, the Services;
- The aggregate request rate shall be kept reasonable. A guideline of approximately one request per second per IP address is suggested as a matter of etiquette.
- When the Content is surfaced to end users,
attribution to "DealSeoul" and a link to
- Express restriction on AI training use.
Notwithstanding Paragraph 1, the Company does NOT grant
permission for, and expressly reserves all rights against,
the use of the Content for any of the following purposes:
- Inclusion of the Content (in whole or in substantial part, in raw, transformed, embedded, or summarised form) in any training corpus, fine-tuning dataset, evaluation set, or similar collection used to develop, train, fine-tune, distill, or otherwise improve any machine-learning model, including large language models, vision-language models, or retrieval-augmented model checkpoints;
- The creation of embeddings, vector representations, or other derivative encodings of the Content for the purpose of building a competing or substitutable product, service, or model;
- The republication of the Content via any AI-generated interface that does not contemporaneously fetch the Services and surface the attribution and link required under Paragraph 2.

Nothing in this Article shall be construed to permit:
- Wholesale extraction, copying, or republication of the Content, in whole or in substantial part, as a dataset, product, or service that competes with or substitutes for the Services;
- The removal or alteration of attribution, source links, or other indicators of authorship;
- The misrepresentation of the source of the Content.

Machine-readable access policies are published at
/robots.txtand/llms.txtand shall be considered authoritative in case of any inconsistency with this Article. Continued Automated Access to the Services after the publication of these Terms constitutes acceptance of the restrictions in Paragraph 3 above.
Article 9
Intellectual Property
- Copyrights and intellectual property rights in the Services, including the DealSeoul name, logo, original editorial copy, and curated combinations of public data, belong to the Company.
- Photographs sourced from Wikimedia Commons remain subject to their original licenses. Brand names, logos, venue photographs, and third-party content reachable through outbound links belong to the respective third parties.
- Subject to Article 8, Users may use the Content for personal, informational, editorial, research, and indexing purposes, provided that attribution is given as set forth in Article 8, Paragraph 2.
Article 10
User Obligations
- Users shall comply with these Terms, applicable laws and regulations, and any notices announced by the Company on the Services.
- Users shall not engage in any conduct that interferes with the Company's business activities or the use of the Services by other Users beyond what is reasonably foreseeable in the ordinary course of access (including Automated Access permitted under Article 8).
- Users shall verify time-sensitive information directly with the relevant venue before acting on it, and shall be solely responsible for travel decisions made in reliance on the Content.
Article 11
Prohibited Acts
Users shall not engage in any of the following:
- Using the Services to harass, deceive, defraud, or harm other persons;
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Company's servers, infrastructure, or non-public data through hacking, credential stuffing, vulnerability exploitation, or other unauthorized means;
- Conducting Automated Access in violation of the conditions or restrictions set forth in Article 8, including by extracting or republishing the Content as a substitute for the Services, removing attribution, or sustaining a request rate that materially degrades the Services for other Users;
- Misrepresenting the source of the Content or otherwise passing it off as the User's own original work;
- Using the Services in connection with any unlawful activity, including any activity that violates the laws of the Republic of Korea.
The Company may, at its discretion and without prior notice, restrict access to the Services for Users found to be in breach of this Article.
Article 12
Third-Party Content and Links
The Services contain links to third-party content, including Instagram pages, Naver place pages, official venue websites, and Wikimedia Commons. Such third-party content is owned and operated by the respective third parties, and the Company is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of such third parties.
Chapter IV
Liability
Article 13
Disclaimer
- The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- The Company shall not be liable for any inability to provide the Services due to natural disasters, force majeure events, or other causes beyond the Company's reasonable control.
Article 14
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or in connection with the use of the Services, including damages arising from inaccurate Content, unavailable third-party services, or travel decisions made by Users in reliance on the Content. The Company shall remain liable only for damages caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence as required by applicable law.
Chapter V
Miscellaneous
Article 15
Notices
Notices from the Company to Users shall be made by posting on the Services. Where individual notice is required by applicable law, the Company may use any contact information provided by the User.
Article 16
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- All disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, provided that the protections granted to Users under the mandatory provisions of the country in which they have their habitual residence shall not be deprived.
- Any lawsuit arising between the Company and a User shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea. For Users whose address or residence is in a foreign country, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
