Gwangjang Market
Seoul's oldest market and the spiritual home of Korean street food.
A 100-year-old covered market that has become the single most-photographed food destination in Korea. Hit Bindaetteok Alley for sizzling mung-bean pancakes, then yukhoe (beef tartare with a raw egg yolk), mayak gimbap, and live octopus. Crowded, chaotic, and worth every minute. Gwangjang Market is featured on Netflix's Street Food: Asia (2019) and was visited by Anthony Bourdain on Parts Unknown.
Walk in any time. Most stalls accept card; bring small bills for the smallest vendors.
