Romantic spots in Seoul filled with the warmth of spring

1 KYUNG HEE UNIVERSITY MV filming location
Founded in 1949 as Shinheung 2-year Junior College, the school was renamed Kyung Hee University in 1960, drawing inspiration from Gyeonghuigung Palace, a royal palace from the Joseon Dynasty. Known for its stunning campus, the university is a popular filming location for movies and dramas.
One standout feature is the Gothic-style Grand Peace Hall, built to celebrate the university's 50th anniversary in 1999. With a seating capacity of 4,500, the hall hosts various events, including concerts, musicals, and orchestra performances.

The Grand Peace Hall, with its medieval European-style architecture, makes an appearance in the music video. Its grand exterior provides the perfect backdrop for amazing photos.
2 DAEO BOOKSTORE MV filming location
Opened in 1951, Daeo Bookstore is the oldest bookstore in Seoul. It is considered a well-known landmark of Seochon Village and is frequently featured as a filming location for its distinctive retro vibe.
The album cover for IU's A Flower Bookmark (2014) was shot here, and it also appeared in NCT DREAM's web show NCT LIFE MINI: Seochon Date with NCT DREAM. Renovated into a cultural space that also serves as a café, it's a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax.
The wooden bench in the courtyard occasionally hosts small musical performances.

The quaint blue-painted sliding door of the bookstore is a popular photo spot. The signboard, with only the letter "o" remaining, adds to its retro vibe.
3 OGIN GAME ARCADE
Ogin Game Arcade, along with Daeo Bookstore, was featured in NCT LIFE MINI: Seochon Date with NCT DREAM. Despite its small size of just 33 m², the arcade is packed with nostalgic games like Bubble Bobble, Tetris, Galaga, and Street Fighter.
Riding the wave of the retro craze, it has also been used as a filming location for numerous dramas, movies, and commercials, including the KBS drama When the Camellia Blooms.

4 TONGIN MARKET
Tongin Market originated as a public market established in 1941 during the Japanese occupation near Hyoja-dong. It is now home to over 70 shops, including restaurants and side dish stores.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of foods, including the market's signature dish, oil tteokbokki. A scene from NCT LIFE MINI: Seochon Date with NCT DREAM was filmed here, where the members sampled chicken skewers.
Since 2012, the market has been running the popular lunchbox café, where visitors can purchase yeopjeon, replicas of Joseon-era (1392-1910) coin currency, to sample various foods. After purchasing yeopjeon, visitors receive a lunchbox and can use the coins at participating stalls to buy food.

5 DEOKSUGUNG STONEWALL WALKWAY MV filming location
The Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway stretches 900 m and offers a beautiful route where trees and stone walls seamlessly blend, making it a perfect spot for couples. In the evening, the lights along the path create a romantic ambiance, and in autumn, the ginkgo trees turn a vibrant yellow.
The walkway is also located near the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) and the Seoul Museum of History, making it ideal for a combined visit.

Bring a lovely vintage film camera, just like YOONA, and capture some photos. The nostalgic hues and texture of the film perfectly match the peaceful atmosphere of the Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway.
6 NORUNSAN TTEOKBOKKI
This spot was featured as NCT DOYOUNG's go-to tteokbokki place on the popular MBC variety show I Live Alone. After the broadcast, they introduced the "NCT DOYOUNG Set," which consists of one serving of tteokbokki, four pieces of deep-fried food, and one serving of sundae.
Located within Jayang Hangang Traditional Market, it's open 24 hours, so you can visit anytime. For an extra flavorful experience, try dipping the deep-fried food or fishcakes into the spicy and rich tteokbokki sauce.
