Good to know Residential, keep noise down

A living hillside of old hanok between two palaces, the postcard of old Seoul.

A preserved neighbourhood of traditional houses (hanok) on the slope between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung.
The classic shot is the stepped lane on Bukchon-ro 11-gil, looking over tiled roofs to the modern skyline.
These are real homes, so signs ask visitors to keep quiet.
Come before 10 AM and tread lightly; craft workshops and tea houses hide along the alleys.
