Charming spots in Songdo, a beautiful futuristic city

Yonsei University International Campus, built in Songdo as an extension of Yonsei University's Sinchon Campus, was completed in stages from 2010 to 2014. It aims to establish itself as a hub for international-level research and education in East Asia.

NCT DREAM's "Don't Need Your Love" music video was filmed at several iconic spots on the campus, including the Underwood Memorial Library, Veritas Hall A, and Libertas Hall A.

Songdo ConvensiA is an internationally renowned convention center with a distinctive design inspired by the Taebaek Mountain Range, which runs along the eastern part of the Korean Peninsula. The building, shaped like a series of five mountain peaks, is constructed using rounded steel frames, creating a column-free interior-a remarkable architectural feature.

Spanning five levels (one basement and four above ground), it can accommodate up to 900 booths. The center also offers various attractions, including the Smart MICE Lounge, which provides immersive experiences such as VR tours of Incheon landmarks, an interactive media wall, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and holograms.

Additionally, it features a range of amenities, including restaurants and cafés.

Songdo International City, an exotic city built by piling and compacting sand along the coast, is home to the Songdo Central Park, often called the "lungs" of this high-rise city. Modeled after New York's Central Park, the park has five distinct gardens: Terrace Garden, Sunset Garden, Romantic Garden, Promenade Garden, and Chojiwon.

These gardens are centered around a seawater park, created by drawing in seawater from the West Sea. Visitors can rent bicycles to explore the park while enjoying the fresh breeze, or take a leisurely ride on the Cloud Boat or Moon Boat across the artificial lake.

G-Tower, located near Songdo Central Park, is 145.8 m tall, with 2 underground floors and 33 above-ground floors. It has become a symbol of eco-friendly design, earning numerous architectural awards for its innovative features.

The tower's observatory on the 33rd floor offers a stunning view of the Songdo International City skyline and the beautiful West Sea through 360-degree panoramic windows. Entry to the observatory is free, but groups of 10 or more must make a reservation in advance.

The Tribowl, one of the most iconic structures in Songdo International City, is situated above a pond and features a unique design where the building is narrow at the base and gradually widens as it rises, resembling a bowl floating on water. Operated by the Incheon Foundation for Arts & Culture, it serves as a venue for performances, exhibitions, education, and experiences.

The Tribowl is also a popular spot for enjoying the night view of Songdo, with its illuminated, dish-shaped structure blending beautifully with the skyline of nearby high-rise buildings. The changing lighting effects on the structure and the water beneath offer a different experience each time.
