Incheon island tour dreaming of encountering whales

Located at the southern end of Muuido Island, Somuuido Island is a small island with a coastline of 2.5 km. The addition of a suspension bridge connecting Muuido Island to Somuuido Island and the creation of the Muui Bada Nurigil trail have gradually attracted more visitors.

The Muui Bada Nurigil consists of eight sections, offering trekking routes that take 1 to 2 hours to circle the island. It was also a filming location for NCT 127's YouTube series Analog Trip NCT 127: ESCAPE FROM MAGIC ISLAND, showcasing the island's stunning and diverse landscapes.

Silmido Island is an uninhabited sub-island of Muuido Island, with a circumference of 6 km. It can be reached from Muuido Island by foot during low tide, twice a day.

Silmido Island gained widespread attention following the 2003 film adaptation of the novel Silmido. The island is infamous for being the site where 31 commandos underwent brutal training for 3 years and 4 months in 1968 to infiltrate North Korea, a story that was fully revealed in the movie.

Today, Silmido Island is a popular weekend destination, also well-known for car camping.

Yeongjongdo Island, home to Incheon International Airport, is connected to the mainland via the Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge. In the music video for NCT DREAM's "Dive Into You," the members are seen driving along a wide, runway-like road near the airport in a convertible.

Yeongjongdo Island boasts several famous beaches, among which Masianhaebyeon Beach is a must-visit. This beach features 3 km stretch of sandy coastline where visitors can enjoy the beautiful shore, pine trees, and mudflat experiences.

At the beach's Tidal Flat Experience Center, visitors can rent Korean hand plows and rubber boots to collect clams.

The Wolmi Sea Train is a tourist monorail that loops around Wolmido Island. It operates along a 6.1 km route with 4 stations: Wolmi Sea Station, Wolmi Park Station, Wolmi Culture Street Station, and Museum Station.

With an average speed of 9 km/h, it takes about 42 minutes to complete a full circuit around the island. While riding the Wolmi Sea Train, you'll reach a height of 18 m, allowing you to take in panoramic views of Wolmido Island, Incheon Inner Port, and Incheondaegyo Bridge.

If you board during sunset, you can also enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the West Sea.

Opened in 2015, this international-standard ice rink operates year-round and hosts various winter sports events, including speed skating, figure skating, ice hockey, and curling. In the NCT U music video for "90's Love," an exciting ice hockey match unfolds.

The rink is open to the public for free skating, with skate rentals available. However, helmets and gloves must be worn at all times.

Ganghwado Island, measuring 27 km from north to south and 16 km from east to west, is the fifth-largest island in South Korea. Despite being an island, it has been connected to the mainland since 1970 via the Ganghwadaegyo Bridge, making access convenient.

On the western side of Ganghwado Island lies Seongmodo Island, which extends into the sea. Minmeoru Beach, located on Seongmodo Island, features a sandy shore 1 km long and 50 m wide, where visitors can enjoy swimming and tidal flat activities.

When the tide recedes, about 1 km of mudflats emerge, providing opportunities to observe clams, crabs, and other marine life inhabiting the area.
