A frozen 1970s train line, now all photos
A 2.5-km strip of houses built right up against an old freight rail line that ran until 2008. The village stayed frozen in the 70s and 80s, so it now reads like a film set: retro snack stalls, uniform rentals, and murals down the tracks. Come for the newtro photo walk and the vintage-toy stalls.
What to see & do
Walk the old tracks Houses sit less than a meter from the rails, exactly as they did when trains still passed twice a day.
Rent a school uniform Slip into a retro uniform and shoot photos against the murals and painted tracks.
Retro snacks and games Grab roasted jjondeugi and dalgona, or try claw machines, fortune slips, and photo booths.
Former Gunsan Station and replica train The old station building and a rebuilt train at the end of the line are the top photo stops.
