Daejeon's Ikseon-dong, in a railway village
A steps-from-the-station railway village where 1930s employee houses have been turned into cafes and restaurants by young artists. Low-roofed old homes, wooden utility poles and repurposed gwansa give it a genuine newtro feel, drawing crowds despite the plain surroundings.
