Blue Bottle Coffee Seongsu

The Korean debut of Blue Bottle, opened 2019, with the roastery on the ground floor and the cafe in the basement.

The Schemata Architects build uses stacked red bricks for the furniture, a nod to Seongsu's old factory history.
The double-height basement seats the cafe, the ground floor holds the roastery behind glass so you can watch beans being processed.
It is also the Korean headquarters.
Seongsu was a warehouse-and-factory district before Blue Bottle, and the cafe is part of the wave that turned it into Seoul's design neighborhood.
