Cliffside art village over the sea
A white-and-blue village clinging to a sea cliff in Yeongdo, built by Korean War refugees and reborn as an arts hub when artists started fixing up its abandoned houses in 2011. Murals, photo-stair sets, and ocean-view cafes line the narrow alleys, and it doubles as a well-known film location. Come for the sea views, the walkable maze of lanes, and easy photos at every turn.
What to see & do
Photo stairways The Manmeori, Rainbow, and Piano Stairs are the village's signature photo spots, often with a queue.
Film Archive Center A The Attorney filming site where movie lines are painted on the wall; try on costumes from Nameless Gangster inside.
Murals and sea observatory Colorful wall art covers the whole village, and an observatory frames a wide ocean panorama.
Jeoryeong Coastal Trail A roughly 3-hour walk below the village runs through a coastal tunnel to the Yeongdo haenyeo (women diver) village.

- Book & Coffee (Yeoul Chaekbang)여울책장 A book-lined coffee shop facing the Rainbow Stairs, with ocean-view outdoor seats for reading.
- Huinnyeoul Jeomppang흰여울 점빵 Village-run spot for instant ramyeon and toast; all three floors look out to the sea, a popular meokbang stop.
- Film Archive Center영화기록관 On the info center's 1st floor, it covers movies shot here and has a costume try-on and photo zone.
- Aether Cafe에테르 Four-story white brunch cafe with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides and a rooftop deck over the water.
- Sinki Yeoul신기여울 Big all-white cafe at the village entrance, with sea-view terrace and rooftop plus a 1st-floor gift shop.
- Huinnyeoul Beach흰여울비치 View cafe known for homemade desserts, coffee, and brunch, and as a photo spot itself.
